Walnut Term 5 Week 2

I would like to take the opportunity to say a really big 'Thankyou!' to all the amazing parents for the good turn-out to our class assembly. The children were so happy to see their parents there. Your children were amazing and adapted so well to the change, and even though they were so nervous, they were awesome!!! I'm so proud of them all.

Another week of amazing learning went by in a flash!

In Literacy this week, we continued reading Danny the Champion of the World. This story is linked to our topic 'Inventions that Changed the World". We finished the week off by describing Danny's father - one of the main characters.

In Maths this week, Year 4's started their learning about 'Money' and the Year 3's finished off their learning about 'Fractions.'

In Science, we are exploring and testing friction and forces. We tested on which surface the car would travel the furthest. Then, we started to explore magnets.

In PE this term we are learning to play football, so we have been practicing our football skills.

School is closed on Thursday 2nd May for Polling Day and Monday 6th May as it is Bank Holiday.

Have a lovely weekend

From Mrs Jacobs, Mr Dodd and Mrs Ralph.
