Spring Term 2 - Week 1 and 2
Week 1 and 2
In History this term we will be learning about monarchs and how jobs have progressed over the years. Holly Class have learnt about Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II and compared their lives.
In Maths we have been learning about length and height. The children have been measuring length and height and comparing it. The Year 1s have been comparing it using words and Year 2s have been learning to use the <, > and = signs to compare.
In English our focus text is The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt. We have been learning to describe emotions and feelings and have been writing as blue crayon explaining why we have gone on strike. Year 2s have learnt about adverbs and have begun to use adverbs in their writing.
In Science we have recapped food chains and explored how a fox can be part of many different food chains.
