Term 4, Week 3

This week we have had some lovely sunshine. We have been outside exploring spring and enjoying our snack time in the sunshine.

In Literacy we will been looking at Mother’s Day and the reasons we love our mummies. We created some lovely cards using our fingerprints to make flowers. We also drew our mummy and wrote some words or sentences to say why we love our mummies.

In Maths we have been looking at number bonds to ten and exploring part-part whole. The children were great and shouting number bonds aloud and showing this on their fingers, using part-part-whole circles and cubes.

In PE we will still continuing with controlling the ball. We were aiming at a target this week.

On Thursday the children enjoyed dressing as their favourite book character for world book day. We even had a cat walk so the children could tell us about their outfits. They made bookmarks, front covers for a story and enjoyed discussing each other’s costumes.

Please don’t forget it is parents evening next week on Tuesday and Thursday. We look forward to seeing you there!

Have a lovely weekend.

The EYFS Team.
