Apples and Pears have been busy this week with their learning. The children were curious to find out what happens when the yeast is added to make bread. Therefore we followed their interests and made bread rolls. They really enjoyed our discussion about how the yeast wakes up when the water is added and this makes it rise. Plus they enjoyed eating their rolls!
In Maths we have explored sharing objects equally between groups. The children used different objects to support their working out. This then moved some of them on to challenging themselves and showing this as a pictorial representation.
Apple Class have had their first experience of Forest School this week! They thoroughly enjoyed it. We used salt dough to make markings on the trees, dug and explored in the woods, made dens and used fruit and bird seeds to create some food feeders for the wildlife. All of the children did really well at respecting the environment and any wildlife they found. They are looking forward to next week!
Don’t forget on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th March, Pear Class will start Forest School too.
Thank you to all parents for supporting our muddy trips to Forest School and sending in appropriate clothing.
Have a lovely weekend,
The EYFS team.
