What a good time we all had at school this week!
It has still been very hot, but children were more settled this week. Everyone has been getting to know each other and the class routines and our expectations. We are feeling really positive that this will be an amazing year.
In Literacy, we have started with our text for this term 'Robinson Crusoe.' They enjoyed the first chapter and found it really interesting. The children used the story to write amazing character descriptions. We have used prefixes and noun phrases in our descriptions to make it more interesting.
In Maths, we have focused on Number and place values.
We also looked at the artist Damien Hirst, and created our own art learning based on his techniques. The children were so very proud of their achievements.
We were identifying and locating the major Islands in Europe, during our Geography lesson this week. The have used atlases to label the Islands on their own maps.
