Term 2 Week 6 8.12.23

In Literacy this week we have written our poems based on Christmas/winter for our hot write. We had to include figurative language and a rhythm or rhyme as part of the success criteria. We will be using the Garage Band app next week to create a musical beat to perform a poem.

In Maths, year 5 have finished their learning on fractions and moved onto reading and writing Roman Numerals. Year 6 have been consolidating their learning on all 4 operations and addressing misconceptions when doing long multiplication and short division, including remainders.

In science this week we have been looking at old age in humans. We have discussed the physical features of how adults change as they get old and how this affects us with our thinking.

In PSHE, we looked at how we should protect ourselves in the sun. In RE we looked at how we could promote equality and the 'Golden Rule' in religious belief. In PE, we have continued to develop our skills for Tag Rugby and Fitness.
