Welcome to Maple Class

Maple Class is a Year 3/4 class.  Our teacher is Mrs Chapman and our teaching assistant is Mrs Mallon.  Mrs Ord will also be teaching in Year 3/4.

In the event of school closure, learning will continue via Microsoft Teams - log in details are available from the class teacher or via the school office.

Home Learning can be accessed via Microsoft Teams.

Our P.E. Day for Term 1 is a Tuesday. Please ensure children are wearing correct P.E. kit including their team colour shirt and black leggings/shorts/jogging bottoms.  

Research shows that reading with your child and listening to them read deepens their understanding and questioning of the text they are reading, developing them into a confident reader. Please allow 20 minutes a day for your child to read and support your child with their reading. Please record feedback in their Reading Record. For further information on how you can support your child with their reading, please refer to the document ‘Lower KS2 reading guidance for parents.’

As part of their home learning and in line with our ‘Home Learning Policy,’ children have access to the following online:

• Fiction Express
• Oxford Owl (if your child is reading RWI books)

Please encourage your child to access these learning platforms at home, to support and build on their learning at school.
