Lots of excitement on Friday as it snowed!! The children were so excited that we went out in it during PE.
In Literacy this week we have continued looking at poems by Karl Nova. We have explored rhythms and beats and wrote our own poems with a rhythm and beat which we could perform to.
In Maths, year 5 have been learning to add and subtract mixed number fractions by breaking down the whole number then the fraction to solve problems. Year 6 have been recapping on metric measures and consolidating our understanding of the most suitable measures to measure specific objects. We looked at converting measures, eg, km to miles and vice versa and we finished the week by looking at imperial measures.

In RE we have continued to explore racism and how religions encourage everyone to have equal opportunities regardless of their race, and that we should treat each other with respect and how we wish to be treated ourselves.
