Wow!!! Where has the time gone? We have now come to the end of a really lovely and productive first term.
I would like to thank parents and guardians for the support you all have given your children and teachers. Thanks for attending Walnut Class Assembly. Also thank you for all the items you've sent for Harvest Festival. We really appreciate all your support.
We have completed our Literacy unit with a Hot write. All children have tried really hard and have done well with their independent writing.
In maths, we have continued to add and subtract 2 and 3 digit numbers. We have focused more on estimation and problem solving as the week has gone on.
During Science we have investigated and explored what effect different drinks might have on our teeth. The children were very excited ! We have used boiled eggs, water, orange juice, vinegar, coke and milk. To make the test fair we had to measure and make sure that we used the same amount of liquid in each cup. We put eggs of the same sizes into the liquids and left it overnight. Children now understand which liquids are healthy for our teeth and which are not as healthy.
Enjoy the half term holiday with your lovely children.
