Week 2 and 3

What a fantastic week we've had at school! In Maths, our Year 1s have been busy consolidating their understanding of halves and quarters, while the Year 2s have moved on to calculating thirds and three-quarters. They've even discovered that 1/2 and 2/4 are equivalent fractions—how clever!

In English, we focused on the features of a recount, revisiting the past tense and time conjunctions. Our beach day on the school field was a huge hit (check out the pictures on our Teams page!), and we’ll be writing about it next week.

In Geography, we explored compass directions through an engaging atlas activity, giving each other directions from continent to continent. In Music, we had a great time with untuned instruments, and in art, we continued examining the techniques of artist Miro. What a week of learning and fun!
