Walnut Class Term 4 Week 6

We have had an amazing term of fantastic learning. Children have been fully engaged in their learning right to the very end of the term.

During our Literacy lessons this week, we completed our hot writes based on George's Marvellous Medicine. We've also created rap poems based around the same theme. We end today by creating acrostic poems about the Spring/Colour celebration of Holi. Children really enjoyed their learning.

In Maths, the Year 3's continued to focus on mass and capacity, by using their skills to add and subtract masses and capacities. The Year 4's focused on data handling and could solve problems using their skills.

Children finally got the opportunity to make their own smoothies on Thursday. They followed the hygiene rules and used their creative skills to create the most delicious smoothies. They then analysed them to see how they could improve them. They thoroughly enjoyed drinking their own smoothies.

We ended the term with an Easter egg hunt. They had to come up with their own rules for a successful hunt. They could re-tell why Easter is an important celebration for Christians and could tell what the Easter eggs symbolise.
