It has been another busy week in Elm Class as we continued our learning through the topic of Shake It.
In our Literacy we have been planning our story based on George's Marvellous medicine. The children will be creating their own potions to give to someone in their family. We will be using the book to scaffold our stories but changing the character to one we have created.
In Maths Year 4 have been finishing off their learning on fractions by looking at adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator. Year 3 have been looking at weights and measures and how to convert kilograms and grams.
In our Science we have been looking at the skill of prediction. We tested a range of liquids and predicted which of them would freeze. In Art, we created our own murals in groups based on the work of Diego Rivera. We are looking forward to painting them next week. In PSHE we looked at how social groups support the local community and encourage inclusivity. The children then had a go at designing their own community group that they would like to run one day, and think of the benefits it could bring to the community.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
