Cherry Class Blog 2024-25 Term 6 Week 2

A different week for us all this week as we lost over a third of the children Monday through Wednesday as they were on their Bewl Water residential! I hope the children that went had a fantastic time and enjoyed new experiences such as bush craft, canoeing and even axe throwing!

Those of us that were left at school continued with our learning and completed such activities as grammar tasks linked to suffixes -tion and -sion and a geographical information text linked to a tourist destination somewhere around the world (we had some very glamourous destinations including the Maldives and Hawaii!). We also looked at similarities and differences between websites in computing and in PE we investigated sprinting techniques and handball today. Science this term is linked to diet and lifestyle choices (both good and bad!)

And finally, a big thank you and well done to EVERYONE in this morning's Cherry Class assembly. We had very little time to practise but the children 'stepped up' and did a brilliant job of reading lines clearly and remembering when to talk!

Have a great weekend everyone

Regards
