What a whirlwind of a week we’ve had at school.
The Year 6s had their first day at their new schools and the Year 5s met their new teachers. A time of great excitement mixed with nerves!
In English, we dived into the delightful world of Limericks and Clerihews. These poems are not only brilliant but also downright hilarious—there were giggles echoing in the classroom.
Over in Maths, Year 5 have been busy converting units of measurement and wrestling with those tricky timetables. It’s been quite the brain workout. Meanwhile, Year 6 are in full swing rehearsing for their upcoming performance of Oliver!
In Science, we explored the digestive system and what happens to the nutrients in the food we eat.
Switching gears in Geography, we chatted about Earthquakes and how they happen. It’s wonderful to see the children connect the dots about these natural wonders. We also learnt about the effects of the earthquake in Turkey in 2023.
