Term 6, Week 5

This week we have been learning about the beach. We enjoyed listening to the story 'What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside.' The children have been working hard on completing their challenges. This week they worked on drawing a picture of their favourite part of the story and wrote their own sentence about what was happening in that part of the story. 

In Maths we have been looking at maps and how we can get from one place to another. We used counters to discuss directions and how many steps and turns we needed to take. This linked well into using the beebots to make up our own directions and then draw this as a map. We were able to verbally say our directions or write them on our map to show the way to go. 

In PHSE, we looked at healthy eating and guessing what was in our feely bag; healthy or unhealthy for us. 

On Monday, we had a great time at sports day! Thank you to all of you that came to support the children. It was a lovely morning and they demonstrated such great team work!
