Term 6, Week 4

This week we have been learning about sea creatures. We looked at the story Sharing a Shell. The children were great at acting the story out and naming the characters. We learnt about how to create a storyboard and did really well creating our own with pictures and some key vocabulary.

In Maths we looked at positional language. We described positions and used the key vocabulary including in front, behind, next to and on top of. The children were great at using this language to identify different positions.

In PSED this week we reflected on ourselves and how we have changed and grown in reception. It was lovely to hear the children say they could blend, write, got taller, made friends. We then spoke about what we wanted to be when we grow up. Some of the children wanted to be a vet, policeman, teacher, shopworker and nurse. What great jobs Apples and Pears!

In PE we practiced for our sports day on Monday 30th June! We cant wait to see you all there! Please remember to wear your PE kits to school on Monday and bring your named water bottle as its forecast for a hot day!

Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine.
