Despite it being a short school week, Oak Class have managed to cram in lots of learning this week.
In Maths, children have been continuing with the money topic moving on from recognising money to adding money. Children set up a shop where they had to buy 2 or 3 items, add these together and give the cashier the exact money.
In English, we delved deeper into the story of The Last Wolf by Mini Grey and children wrote descriptions of the characters using adjectives.
In PE, children developed their badminton skills into full rallies with a partner and in Science, children used the app British Trees from The Woodland Trust to identify the plethora of trees we are fortunate to have on our field. They investigated their leaf shape, flower structure and even the bark to identify the species. Next week children will be making planters from recycled materials, so please save your plastic recycling and send in with your child.
Have a great weekend
