Week ending 24th April 2026

Welcome back!  It’s amazing how quickly we have reached Term 5 already.

Firstly, a huge thank you to all of you that were able to attend our class assembly this morning.  It was lovely to see so many of you and it really does mean a lot to your children to see you there.

In English this term, we are reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.  We shall be using this as our class text, the children have already been imagining their own characters and describing their character traits.

In maths, Year 3 have been multiplying fractions whilst Year 4 have been adding and subtracting tenths and hundredths.

As part of our learning about religious festivals, all classes will be visiting St Martin’s Church next week.  The children will learn about the Easter story and the how it is celebrated.

And finally, a gentle reminder that children should not be bringing toys into school – thank you.

Have a great weekend – hopefully the sun will keep shining 🌞
