Term 1 Week 4

This week in Literacy we have looked at both coordinating and subordinating conjunctions and how these can be used to extend our sentences to create complex and compound sentences. 

In Maths Year 4 have been looking at representing, comparing and ordering numbers to 10,000 and also had a practice at the multiplication check. Please encourage children to practice at home as they will be sitting an official test in June. Children can practice on TT Rockstars or the websites below. Year 3 have been looking at ordering and comparing numbers to 1000, and how these could be represented on a number line.

In History this week we learned about how the lives of Stone Age people changed over time from lone hunter gatherers to living in small tribes. In Science we learned about the different types of teeth humans have and their functions. In Art we learned how to use chalk pastels to recreate our own pictures inspired by cave paintings.
