Week ending 6th November 2026

Welcome back to Term 2!

I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable half term break.

In literacy this week, we have started our learning about rainforests and the children have been introduced to our new text titled Where the Forest Meets the Sea by Jeannie Baker.  We have also been revisiting our knowledge of pronouns and where we can use these to avoid repetition in our writing.

In numeracy, Year 3 are learning about multiplication and focusing on 2, 5 and 10 whilst Year 4 are concentrating on multiplication facts for the 3,6 and 9 times table and the corresponding division fact.

In science, the children have learnt that living things can be grouped in a variety of ways by sorting living things into a range of groups.  We discussed what categories we could use and why these would be an efficient method.

PLEASE NOTE AS PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OUR PE DAYS ARE NOW MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

Have a great weekend.
