Week ending 2nd October 2026

Happy Friday everyone.

This week in literacy we have been learning about prepositions and the prefixed ‘im’, ‘ir’ and ‘il’ together with the associated rules. 

In numeracy, Year 3 have been learning to add and subtract up to 3 digits whilst Year 4 have been learning how to round to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000.  Times table knowledge and recall are so important, please encourage your child to use TTRockstars to practice every week.

In PE, we are enjoying our Wednesday afternoon cricket sessions with the PE coach and have been practicing hitting and bowling during this time. 

In science, the children have been learning about the digestive system and the functions of each part.
