What a fantastic week we’ve had in class! The highlight was undoubtedly World Book Day, where the children dazzled us with their wonderful costumes. It was heartwarming to see so many creative interpretations of beloved characters.
In our storytelling sessions, we explored different versions of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children made delightful puppets, which they were excited to use to share the story with the older children in Rowan Class. On Friday afternoon, the Rowan Class children also shared their imaginative versions of Ali Baba, showcasing their creativity in prop-making and storytelling skills.
In Maths, we continued our journey with multiplication, writing number sentences before moving on to division. The children are making great progress. In Geography, we delved into compass points, which will help them navigate their way through our next adventures. Additionally, we began learning about the Easter story, fostering a sense of reflection and understanding.
In PE, our gymnastics lessons focused on travelling and rolling, allowing the children to develop their coordination and balance. Meanwhile, in Art, they had a blast mixing primary colours to create secondary ones, experimenting with various brush techniques like stippling, dry brush, and blending.
What a week of learning and creativity!
