Week ending 21.11.25

Another busy week in Oak Class!

Well done to Samina and Daniel who were our Golden book winners, and to Alessia who was our TTRockstars champion for the week.

We have begun rehearsing our Christmas performance of Lights, Camel Action! The children have been learning their lines, the dances and the songs. Please remember, costumes are due in on 1st December. Please see Mrs Ord if you are unsure about this.

In Maths, children have been learning how to partition numbers to 100 and in English, children have been writing facts about a London landmark of their choice. They could choose between: Tower Bridge, The Gherkin, The London Eye, Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament, The Royal Albert Hall or Westminster Abbey. Children used the iPads to research and discovered some interesting facts like Tower Bridge used to be brown in colour!

In History, children learnt where and when the Great Fire of London started and in RE they learnt about Jonah and his escapades. In DT children planned the structures they are to build next week; either a bridge, a skyscraper or a tower. Any donations of boxes, cartons and other clean recyclable materials for their constructions would be gratefully received.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Ord
