Welcome back to Term 4! Hopefully that means that the rain will finally end and the sun will make an appearance!
In literacy we have started our new text - Escape from Pompeii by Christina Balit - as this links with our topic of Active Planet. It tells the story of a Roman boy called Tranio when Mount Vesuvius erupts in AD79. We look forward to reading more about his story as the term progresses.
In numeracy, Year 3 have started learning about perimeter and how this is calculated by counting the number of squares whilst Year 4 are continuing their learning about fractions and how to find an equivalent.
Finally, can I say how proud I was of all the children on Wednesday during our visit to Leeds Castle. They behaved with respect and kindness and showed their knowledge and interest in the castle. I hope they enjoyed themselves and didn’t complain too much about achy feet when they got home!
Enjoy you weekend.
