Week ending 23rd January 2026

In literacy this week, we have been creating our own settings and characters and writing about Blue John.  We have been discussing how we can add adjectives and prepositions into our writing to capture the readers imagination.

In numeracy, Year 4 have been learning about multiplying and dividing using the part/whole model.  Year 3 have been learning about dividing a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number.

As the weather has finally stopped raining, we have been able to start our new PE topic of hockey.  The children are learning how to gripped the stick correctly, which side to use and are beginning to dribble around the cones.

Thank you if you have already sent in a pillow case in preparation for our art in a couple of weeks.  This will be used for our practical learning about Batik.
