This week in literacy we have been writing setting descriptions linked to the pyramids using our senses of taste, touch, sight, hearing and smell. We are beginning to use personification to describe how Marcy’s adventure to rescue her father continues.
Numeracy
Year 4 are consolidating their knowledge of multiplication and division facts and how to apply these to word problems. We have been identifying the related fact families and checking the calculations using the inverse operation.
Year 3 have been also been looking at multiples and applying previous learning to the 2,5 and 10 times tables. They have been discussing why it is important to have equal groups.
In DT the children have been designing their own tombs and are now moving on to designing items that you would expect to find in them.
Have a great weekend and remember to keep logging your reading!
