Dariya's pattern
Dennis' pattern
Lacey's pattern
This week we have been completing our hot writes, writing our own adventure stories based on Robinson Crusoe. Our characters have had to overcome a number of problems to be able to survive and finally escape their islands and the children have really showcased all the writing features we have looked at this term.
In Maths Year 4 have been looking at the formal written method for addition, including grouping. Year 3 have been looking at adding and subtracting 10's across 100.
In Geography we are working in groups to create posters and presentation comparing the human and physical geographies of the three islands we have looked at this term. In Computing we have been using our desktop publishing skills to create PowerPoints on an island of our choice. In Science we have been learning about the importance of sun safety. In Art we have been taking inspiration from the work of Damien Hirst and his kaleidoscope images. We used repeated patterns and colours to create our own pieces inspired by him, we will be completing these next week.
We hope you have a lovely weekend,
Mr Saunders, Mrs Hendry and Miss Parkes.
