Welcome everyone to our latest Cherry Class blog!
The weather this week has been excellent and it has definitely affected the mood of the children in a positive way.
In Literacy, we have continued with our class text (Pig Heart Boy) and had the chance to write in role as two separate characters, and write a letter to a surgeon!
In Numeracy, Year 5 have moved into the sphere of perimeter and area, using previously taught methods of multiplication to aid success, whist Year 6 looked at 'Statistics' in particular tables and charts.
This week in Science we investigated some unusual plants (cactus, Venus Fly Trap, etc) and how they have adapted to their surrounding over time and flourished.
In RE this week we looked at a Bible story linked to the theme of 'generosity' and the children explored this concept, in terms of more than just monetary support.
In Computing, we continued with our topic linked to databases and using search facilities to really narrow down a specific item of data and this morning we went outside and played some tennis!
Have a good weekend everyone
