The children have had a busy week learning and exploring.
In our Literacy lessons this week we have been reading the 'Stick Man' story. We spoke to the characters about what happened in the story. We went on a winter walk and created a mind map of what things we could see, hear, feel, and smell, that let us know it is winter time. We collected sticks on our winter walk and used these to create our own stick men later in the week. We even created a name for our own stick man.
In Maths we have continued learning about numbers 0-5. The children covered the following learning topics:
-
Represent 0 to 5
-
1 more
-
1 less
-
Composition
In PSHE we learned about 'persistence' and why it is important to try again, if something may seem hard at first. Our challenge was to build towers. We discussed what problems we may face while doing this, and after the challenge we reflected on how it went.
Our PSED lesson this week focused on feelings and emotions. We looked at a range of pictures of various scenarios and discussed how the child/children in the picture may be feeling. We created a mind map of the different feelings and discussed what these may look like, and how we can manage these emotions when they show up.
NEXT WEEK:
Many thanks for your ongoing support.
Have a lovely weekend.
