Week beginning 12th September
What have we been learning this week?
This week, we have started researching World War 2 as part of our topic. The children have also been reading, and watching, 'Goodnight Mr Tom'. This text is about a boy called William and his experience during the evacuation.
In Maths, we have been securing our knowledge of place value. We have represented numbers in a variety of different ways: with items found on the field, with counters, with place value grids and many other creative ways of showing a digit's value.
As part of our Time Tunnel topic, we looked at chronology and putting historical events in the correct order. Later in the week, we then looked at our own history and linked milestones from our lives to historical events that happened that same year.
