This week we have really gotten into the Christmas spirit.
Monday kept a few of us away but we managed to enjoy the snow as well as do some learning. We have been designing our bridges on Tinkercad (which you can access at home) making 3d models of our designs and improving them through the design process.
We also had Christmas Jumper Day on the same day we sang our Christmas carols (see the video).
We wrote some Christmas themed poems inspired by the winter season to finish our poetry topic. We also did come cross-curricular Maths and calculated the total number of gifts given in the song '12 Days of Christmas' and wrote taking on the role of the person receiving the gifts and inferring how they would be feeling.
The children have worked really hard this term and their success was celebrated in our Trophy assembly today. In Rowan, we had 2 winners: Dennie and Dominic. Congrats on your hard work and effort this term in Art and Sports.
I hope you all have a wonderful 2 week break and look forward to seeing you in the new year!
