Week 5

This week, we have continued to develop our number knowledge. We have focused on the number 2, writing and representing the number in different ways.

In literacy, we have followed our children’s interests after they found a ladybird in our outside area, last Friday. We are developing our love for reading by sharing our focus book ‘What the Ladybird heard.’ The children used their communication skills to ask questions about the ladybird and linked them to other mini-beasts. Therefore, we took a visit to our school library and used the I-Pads to find out the answers to our questions, gathering facts linked to our natural world. We also were very lucky to explore a snail, close up, as a child had brought one into school!

During PE this week, we have been focusing on moving in different directions. We have been using our listening skills to follow instructions, also being aware of our own space when travelling around the hall.

Reminders:

Please remember to remove any earrings for our Tuesday PE session.
